By: Kris Karkoski (admin) | Nov 20, 2007
The Ultimate Fighter 5 castmember Corey Hill will return to the UFC at UFC Fight Night 12 in January according to MMA Mania.
Hill defeated Rob Emerson in the opening round of the reality series before being submitted by the future winner of The Ultimate Fighter 5, Nate Diaz, in the quarterfinals. Though he has little MMA experience the 6-foot 4-inch Hill he has huge potential given the large reach advantage he holds over most of his lightweight competition.
No opponent has been determined for the bout.

Yes!! I have been waiting to see this guy in action since Season Five concluded. Hopefully he puts on a good performance and shows himself to be one of the up and comers in the UFC Lightweight Division.
Awesome! I’ve been eager to watch Corey Hill’s development in the UFC. Last we saw in season 5, with a little training from Jeremy Horn, he’s gonna be an animal!
Corey was fun to watch in TUF 5. He just needs to be molded and he will be a threat to the division.
A 6 foot 4 lightweight with some proper ground training with jeremy horn there is not gonna be many 155lb fighters out there wanting to fight corey hill !!!!!
I too am anxious to see what kind of skill set he brings in now. He impressed me with his stand-up, and honesty (when he eventually admited he hadn’t had a real MMA fight before) Should be great, and I hope Horn is in his corner. I would like to see him on an under card soon too.
He has been training with Pat Miletich and all the guys in Iowa. He is bound to be a tough SOB. I bet he kicks some ass in his UFC debut.
FixXer- I agree that Corey Hill will kick some ass in his UFC debut. Might be because his opponent will probably suck. The UFC needs to build him up a little.
They’ll give Corey most likely an opponent that mainly does stand-up for his first bout. How can you not like someone who lied about his past fight record. I remember the look Horn gave him during TUF 5 and was salivating at the possibilities Hill has as a fighter. Looking forward to his fight.
