UFC 81: Marvin Eastman vs. Terry Martin
A middleweight showdown has been added to the SuperBowl weekend UFC 81 card in Las Vegas as Marvin Eastman moves down to middleweight to take on Terry Martin.
In the UFC Eastman (14-7-1 MMA, 0-3 UFC) has been unsuccessful in all three of his previous bouts in the octagon losing to Vitor Belfort, Travis Lutter, and Quinton Jackson. In his last fight Eastman defeated Rob Kimmons in the main event of an International Fighting Organization event held in July. He was then booked to take on UFC newcomer Demian Maia at UFC 77 in October but withdrew from the bout after undergoing an eye surgery. According to MMA Junkie he is now fully healed and ready to return to the octagon.
Terry Martin (16-3 MMA, 2-3 UFC) was seen as a potential middleweight title contender earlier this year after winning four straight fights including wins in the UFC over Jorge Rivera and Ivan Salaverry. His run towards a possible title shot was derailed in September as he was knocked out late in the third round by Chris Leben in a very entertaining, back-and-forth bout.

This will actually be a good matchup. I really dont know who wins. Terry Martin is one of those guys that when he goes down….he gets knocked the *#@* out. Kinda like Sean Salmon…..im sure most of you real MMA fans seen that Salmon got KTFO again haha. Eastman is a monster…I think I would give it to him. He didnt do too bad against Rampage. I think he has the better chance.
interesting fight. i think eastman is a good fighter… just had some bad breaks
If both of these guys could lose the same fight, I would love to see that.
