UFC 81: Jeremy Horn To Face Marquardt
By: Kris Karkoski | Jan 9, 2008
The UFC has announced that Jeremy Horn (79-16-5 MMA, 6-4 UFC) will replace an injured Thales Leites and take on Nate Marquardt in a main card middleweight bout at UFC 81: Breaking Point next month.
Horn’s MMA career stretches all the way back to 1996 with over 100 professional fights to his credit. Horn, who holds a UFC victory over former light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell, last fought for the promotion from 2005-2006 winning back-to-back fights against Chael Sonnen and Trevor Prangley. He last fought for the IFL and Art of War promotions going 1-2 with a victory against Falaniko Vitale and losses to Matt Lindland and Jorge Santiago.

cool cant wait to see horn again good choice by dana any1 who can beat chuck gets my nod of approval
Granted, Liddell avenged the loss but Horn still beat him and A LOT of other people as well. Very good late replacement by the UFC
wow its kool 2 see horn back in da ufc
good to see horn back in ufc. hes a quality fighter so at least we all know we gonna get to see a fight. should be interesting to see how he and marquardt match up.
Very pleased to hear the UFC has brought in Horn for this fight. Definately looking forward to this fight now.
Nice, Horn at 185, interesting..
This was kind of a throwoff…I did not see this one coming. I like Nate, he seems like a good guy and a good fighter and I was looking foward to cheering for him….but now I cant, gotta support MFS. Go Horn!
An absolutely great replacement, Horn has fought almost everybody and has gone the distance in a loss to Anderson Silva, wins over Dean Lister and David Loiseau just to name a couple. In the past few years his only losses are to the best MMA fighters out there, except for his recent Art of War loss to Jorge Santiago.
Didn’t see Horn as a replacement, but that makes things more interesting and yes definitely a good replacement and makes the fight interesting to watch.
I dig the news. If he wins, I wonder if we will see more of him. The only time I see him anymore is in the corner in “The Ultimate Challenge” based in Utah. He is a game opponent for anyone, even if he got his eye socket crushed by Chuck.
Wow….this is a first….everyone agrees.
