Ryan Jensen Replaces Injured Jeremy Horn at UFC Fight Night 15

By: Kris Karkoski | Sep 4, 2008

Ryan JensenJeremy Horn (80-18-5) has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled UFC Fight Night 15 bout against Wilson Gouveia (10-5) due to a wrist injury.

UFC veteran Ryan Jensen has been tapped to replace Horn in the September 17th matchup in Omaha, Nebraska.

MMA Junkie reported the injury and replacement on Wednesday.

In his two previous UFC bouts Jensen was submitted in the opening round by Thales Leites at UFC 74 and Demian Maia at UFC 77. Following a knockout loss to Joey Villasenor at Strikeforce “Shamrock vs. Le”, his third loss in a row, Jensen bounced back with back-to-back first-round victories over Mitch Whitesel at SportFight 23 and Aaron Praschak at Victory Fighting Championships 24 in late-July.

Following an Ultimate Fighter 3 finale loss to Keith Jardine Gouveia posted four-straight wins inside the octagon over Wes Combs, Seth Petruzelli, Carmelo Marrero, and Jason Lambert. In his most-recent bout, however, Gouveia was defeated by Goran Reljic via second-round TKO at UFC 84 in May.
